We have devoted a lot of effort into improving fitness opportunities and facilities at Tinker AFB.  In the last two years, we have designated both 216 and 3705 as Fitness Access Centers, giving patrons a great place to work out virtually 24 hours a day.  We have a fantastic football field, our softball fields were re-graded and improved this summer and, of course, work is ongoing for a newly resurfaced running track.  Furthermore, we doubled the size of the Gerrity mezzanine, added a new state of the art room for free weights and  replaced nearly every piece of cardio equipment this year.  We are firmly committed to fitness and are working the manning issue.  When/if more staff becomes available we will adjust hours accordingly.  The fitness staff appreciates your understanding and patience.

    • Hi Richard! Unfortunately you’ll need a CAC to access the 24/7 gyms. Sorry for the inconvenience. Have a great day!

  2. Is it acceptable for a male to run without a shirt on the 1/4 mile track? I often see individuals doing so on hot days so i just want to make sure before i do.

    • Hi Chris. If you are participating in the run portion of a PT test you must wear your appropriate uniform, other wise you are welcome to run how you please. For more information please call the Gerrity Fitness Center at 405.734.5607. Have a great day.

  3. Would you happen to have any job openings at your fitness facility?
I recently graduated from Rose State College with a degree in Health and Sports Science.

    • Hi Austin. Congrats on your recent accomplishments. For job openings please visit USAjobs.gov and Nafjobs.org. Have a great day.

    • Hi Ed. Yes, as long as your family member is with you during your visit to the gym. If your family member has their own DOD ID card then you do not have to be there to accompany them. For more info please call 405.734.5607. Have a great day.

  4. Is there an area where you can lay out a mat without being overcrowded? Also where are the resistance bands and kettlebells?

    • Hi Jessica. There are 3 different fitness facilities and they all have areas to lay a mat out. For more info as to where certain equipment is located please call whichever facility you are interested in. Have a great day.

    • Hi Eric. Our gyms are open to anyone with access to Tinker AFB that has a DOD ID card. For more info please call 405.734.5607. Have a great day.

  5. Is there any sort of requirement to be able to attend the free classes (registration, etc.) or are you able to just show up to participate?
